My favorite YA book? That's a very hard question... Ok, I might sound lame, but one of my favorites is Twilight, thanks to it I discovered that YA existed... I loved to read, but completely forgot it until I found that little book... lol. Other favorites of mine include The Hunger Games, The Summer of Skinny Dipping, 13 little blue envelopes, Anna and the French Kiss, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Mortal Instruments books, and... I can't stop, sorry, lol. But as you can see there's a lot of books I really like... I love books!

My favorite has to be 13 Reasons Why by Jay Ahser. I haven't read anything like it, and that book had me thinking about it long after finishing it. That has to be the one novel that I push on everyone I know! Such a great book.

Thanks so much for the giveaway. Like Mandarin has been on my TBR list for some time.!/MrsTeeMae_Books/status/67656851776471040

This is so hard! Anna and the French Kiss is probably my absolute favourite. It's cute and funny. The characters are all believable and well developed. Plus, St. Claire! It's hard not to love a book with him in it *swoons*

Some of my other favourites include: The Duff, obviously, Rhymes with Cupid by Anna Humphrey, Invincible Summer by Hannah Moskowitz, The Summer trilogy by Jenny Han and the She's So Dead To Us trilogy by Kieran Scott!

Thanks for the giveaway Kody :)!/hone3yy/status/67686552750391296

I hope I don't sound uneducated, but I had to look up the word contemporary haha, but at least I learned something new today. At least I hope I did, when I say that my favorite contemporary young adult novel was probably "Along for the Ride" by Sarah Dessen.

I love all of her books, and am really excited to read her new book (which comes out tomorrow!!) but this one really stuck with me. Her characters always seem so real, and even though I don't relate to all of them, Sarah writes so that you feel as if you ARE the character. It's great! For some of her books, like "Dreamland" its scary, but still really interesting, because it makes me wonder if this is how it really feels.
The main character in "Along for the Ride" Auden has so many things going on in her life that are so complex and real, that I loved it so much!

Sarah Dessen is a great deep writer!

I enjoyed Hate List because 1. it has an awesome premise (it tells the story of the girlfriend of a boy who shot kids at his school before killing himself) and 2. the characters deal with (or fail to) the shooting in different ways while others have their own drama. I also liked the way the story was told: the day of the shooting and newspaper clips from the following day are interspersed within the narrative following the MC's return to the school where she'll have to go to class with the teens on the hate list she helped her boyfriend write which he used to target victims.

Blog post scheduled for Weds, thanks for the international contest!

Ooh, I've been dying to read this book! Alright, so my favourite YA contemporary. I think it's probably IF I STAY by Gayle Forman (which, arguably, has fantasy elements, but whatever).

I haven't gotten a chance to read Where She Went yet but Gayle Forman is a genius. Her writing is crazily addictive and just so fluid! It's almost lyrical in a way. I would be lying if I said that I didn't also lovelovelove the characters in If I Stay. I felt and loved Mia and I became so attached to her family and friends throughout the experiences and flashbacks shown in the novel as well. Finally, ADAM is in If I Stay. Do I need another reason to love it??

I'm fairly certain that you've read this book so sorry that this won't be a recommendation!

Thanks so much for the fabulous giveaway!

Absolutely anything by Sarah Dessen who is without a doubt my favorite author. If I had to pick a specific novel it would probably be This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, I have lost track of how many times I've read this novel. Probably hundreds by now.

It's so difficult to chose from contemporary cos most of my faves come from this genre. Heck, ALL my faves belong here (almost).

To choose one, I'd have to say Jenny Dowham's BEFORE I DIE.
I'll also have to add BALLADS OF SUBURBIA by Stephanie Kuehnert, FORBIDDEN by Tabitha Suzuma and everything by Jaclyn Moriarty. Have your pick :)!/bee_muses/status/67975015148163072

I would so love to win this. My fav. YA contemp novel is Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols. I was a little nervous when I got this book, it was my first YA and I wasn't sure what to expect. As a stay at home mom of three, I've come to love my romance novels and I loved the sexual chemistry in the characters and I didn't think I YA novel could give that to me. Jennifer Echols proved me wrong and the characters in this book captured from the first few pages and I've been hooked and I've been adding more and more YA to be reading pile
